Potatoes
Potatoes are the most widely grown and important vegetable crop in New Zealand. Bayer has a broad portfolio of products that control the key pests and diseases of potatoes. Late and early blight are foliar diseases that can devastate potato yields for which the Bayer fungicides, Reason and Infinito are highly effective control options. The Bayer insecticides, Movento 150OD, Oberon and Proteus are innovative products for controlling the key pests in potatoes including the highly destructive, tomato/potato pysllid. Controlling weed competition is also critical to maximise yields in potato crops with Bayer’s herbicide, Sencor, is a very useful solution for growers.
