David Parker
David joined Bayer in 2005 and works with merchants and growers in a territory that stretches from Ashburton to Kaikoura and over to the West Coast.
A key part of his role is introducing merchants and growers to Bayer Crop Science’s expanded range of fungicides and weed control products. These include new generation fungicides and biologicals.
For David, it’s all about enabling farmers to maximize the genetic potential of their crops through a comprehensive crop protection program.
He firmly believes that to gain incremental improvements in yield and quality, it’s not just about controlling disease, it’s about understanding plant physiology and integrating modern products and techniques to achieve this.
David’s experience means he can offer advice over a wide spectrum of crops, including arable and horticultural fruit crops.
He believes farmers can really benefit from a range of crop protection products that can be adapted to suit different farming styles as well as help deal with New Zealand’s volatile growing conditions.
